Privacy overview โ where to find what
Two different "Privacy" surfaces
Like Security, Receptionist.co has two different surfaces related to privacy:
**The Privacy Policy** at receptionist.co/privacy. This is the authoritative description of how we collect, use, store, and protect data. It covers the architectural commitments (Zero Audio Retention, no AI training, no data sales), the full sub-processor list, retention schedules, international transfers, and your rights under various laws. This is the document your legal or compliance team will want to see.
**Privacy practice articles in this help center.** Practical walkthroughs of what to do in specific situations โ how to exercise your rights as a data subject, how to request deletion, how to export your data, how to handle a request from one of your own customers under GDPR or CCPA. That is what this help section covers.
If you are looking for the policy text, go to receptionist.co/privacy. If you are looking for a how-to for a specific privacy task, stay here.
The short version of our privacy posture
For the full story see the Privacy Policy, but the three-sentence summary:
We do not sell data. We do not train AI models on customer data. We retain only the minimum data necessary to operate the service and we commit to transparent, architecturally-enforced protections (Zero Audio Retention for call audio, application-layer encryption for stored PII, row-level tenant isolation so no business can see another business's data).
Where to find specific things
If you cannot find what you are looking for in any of those, email privacy@receptionist.co directly and we will route you to the right answer.
